When I joined The Portsmouth Grammar School last September, I was immediately struck by the warmth and generosity of the whole school community: alumni, parents, staff, pupils and donors. And that is why I am so excited and optimistic about this year's Giving Day - it's a chance for everyone to come together, for one cause, to truly make a difference for bright and promising children in Portsmouth and the surrounding area. We are incredibly proud to say that 1 in 5 pupils receive financial assistance at PGS and we look forward to this improving each year, aligning with our vision to be a needs blind school. It is becoming clearer to me every day just how much richer we are as a school community because of the contribution that our wonderful bursary recipients make, none of which would be possible without the generous support of people like you - so thank you. Thank you being here. Thank you for showing an interest in our Giving Day. And thank you for making a donation, which will help more young people access a transformative and life-changing education.
